YHGSA Partnersips

Local Authority Partnerships

Four DECs in the region took part in Local Authority pilots between 2007 and 2009 and have now identified authorities willing to participate in a mainstream LA partnership and support scheme:

Hull DEC with North Lincolnshire
Leeds DEC with Serco Bradford
DEC (South Yorkshire) with Sheffield and Rotherham
Centre for Global Education with York

Following the success of the previous Local Authority partnerships, YHGSA is pleased to
announce five new partnerships:

Hull DEC will work together with the Schools Linking Officer, a new post co-funded by Hull City Council based within the Equalities and Cohesion team.

DEC(SY) will work with both Barnsley and Doncaster Local Authorities, in Barnsley with the Primary School Improvement Consultant, and in Doncaster with two Consultants from the Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service team.

York CGE’s partnership is with both an Infant Lead Teacher and a Secondary/6th Form Lead Teacher from North Yorkshire Local Authority.


Leeds DEC hopes to work with Kirklees Local Authority (with an AST).
